Joined lichess. Jock are you free tomorrow, Wednesday? On chess.com though, Still to get head around lichess,
Had a little play with Vespa this morning and game ongoing and a ridiculous loss of lady when too excited. But a Rooks v pieces endgame is trickier than thought. But should win, hopefully, maybe.

Better now I dumped the Sicilian I think.

Ha, bewtiful. Opposite Bishops is the best. Could I have held? Maybe, probably not with decent play, but could grind it out for another 50 moves.
And sadly, doubtfully get a draw under the fity move rule as Jock would surely move a pawn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifty-mov ... -move_rule

It's an interesting pos. Compoota says +6 for white. However, I have played on against compoota and best I could do wuz draw and one time the fucker beat meCarlos J wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 6:16 am Ha, bewtiful. Opposite Bishops is the best. Ha. It's def a winner for you (white) with good moves, but black can play nasty and dark as I tried. Threefold repetitiion and Zugzwang for example. But two eatra pawns should deal it. One extra maybe hold, but not two.Jock Bauer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 7:48 amIt's an interesting pos. Compoota says +6 for white. Next week, many times I hope. And happy to replay from that poistion as black as like computer says, if you're not sharp, can be a loss, let alone a draw. )

Jock. 2021 Croatia Grand Chess Tour in on youtube with Yasser and Maurice on comms. Kasparov is playing the blitz part after the rapid finishes, two rounds of rapid left so maybe tomorrow. Vishy is in it and doing well:

Some queer old endings there, but that is rapid.Jock Bauer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 4:40 pm Ooh thanks mate! Been so busy lately forgot about chess. Be great to see Gazza in action again.
Assume blitz and Gazza starts tomorrow.
Onwards to week starting July 19 and some more games. Will try to get myself up on lichess, though did play Vespa there, but not been on since. And if Vespa can and wants to play, maybe try to set up a little threeway. Sort out later.
