It doesn't come across that way on here I'm afraid. You seem to spend most of your time defending those who take the piss and denying that we have more than a handfull of scum and parasites. Wanting those who break the law and commit heinous crimes to be treated better than law abiding people in comfortable establishments etc.

If you don't think that is the case you need to seriously think a little more before you post. It's the impression you give me and I don't think I'm the only one.

Whatever the true position, there is no way we can describe ourselves as poor.

What we do have is an enormous range in wealth, and I will save R24s the bother of telling me that is because I am jealous of "people who have succeeded". For the reasons that (a) I am not in the slightest jealous, and very happy with what I have achieved and earned; and (b) because wealth is not necessarily earned.

It is, for me, indefensible that in a country of our wealth, people who work still need food banks.
