Gutless batting from India.

Even you could take wickets at Headingley. Scarborough beach has a better surface.

Not a great fan of many things over the Pennines, but that Headingley crowd intimidated the Indians big time there

England need to knuckle down and aim for 300-350, then that should be more than enough

Only way this day could get better is by Hameed and Malan knocking big scores.
Hopefully we've got a decent bowling attack beyond Broad and Anderson too that can remain fit.

Broad, Archer, Wood and Stone all injured. Just 126 year old Jimmy Anderson staying fit

They have risen to the challenge after the last test debacle. Just shows what can be done when minds are focused.

And they didn't panic. Yes we were in a great position but India could easily have knocked another 80-odd for no or 1 wicket before lunch and we're thinking about batting again and chasing. They stuck to their lines brilliantly, held catches and kept the pressure on.
Near on perfect Test match for England with the top order getting runs, Anderson still top notch and Robinson and Overton impressing.

Yep, Robinson was excellent – should do well in Oz (fingers crossed)JW90 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:33 pm And they didn't panic. Kohli gone for fifty. Big wicket for England. India 104-5.
