What IS this thing with Germany? It's not as if England knocked them out, and even if we did, so what? Why the glee?

See "Scots/Welsh/Irish" glee when England fuck it all up. Yeah, but YOU didn't knock us out, it was Iceland.

Old friend, you discuss PKK stuff and Ocalan with Kurdish cabbies don’t you? Are you aware of most quah happenings about Turkish legend Hakan Suker being mentioned in the first half of a recent WC match on a state broadcaster? The presenter was then replaced at half time. Hakan was previously a government politician but left to express his support for Gulen which is regarded by Erdogan as a terrorist entity.
Very sad that an absolute hero and record goalscorer is almost airbrushed out and can’t be talked about.
Can you have a word with the cabbies once you’re back up Muswell Hill, Stoke Newington or Green Lanes in that Landaan and report back please? Cheers. I’m actually in that Landaan next Saturday only for the day but staying central so not going up to Haringey or Hackney.

Will chat to the cabbies, but they are Partridgeland cabbies, there's a fair size Kurdish community here.

Yup, Hakan’s living in Palo Alto in Frisco now. Faces the death sentence if he returns to Turkey. Got talking to a number of locals when on a train in Istanbul when he was playing for Galatasaray. He was really loved.
