President Macron

Post by kancutlawns »

This isn't so much about his and En-Marche's policies more really about his inauguration as the eighth president of the fifth republic. Watched it yesterday and found it a little underwhelming to be honest yet was fairly interested in the interior of the Elysee Palace. Thought the main reception room was like the interior of a bad Indian restaurant and those poor dignitaries made to stand around for a couple of hours whilst that cackhanded twat Hollande handed over the nuclear codes was a bit of a joke.

That said, went on YouTube later to watch a tour of the palace and it's incredibly impressive with classic architecture and design. Knocks spots off 10 Downing Street and probably the White House. A hell of a lot of history stretching back to the mid 1800s and some notable characters. The French do things in style don't they? Looks like a bland government building from outside which is well concealed, cracking interior though.

His wife's a bit of an oldie isn't she? Fair play to Macron though.

He's meeting Merkel today to discuss reforming the Eurozone.

He's in for a bit of a shock when he realises that it would require treaty changes, which the countries benefiting from the current set up will block en masse. Welcome to the real world of EU politics, Mr President!

He's after Germany bailing out France by issuing Eurobonds.

Merkel has already made it clear that she won't consider it.

Macron is a Bilberberger and an ex-banker. How the fuck he managed to present himself as some type of 'alternative' candidate to the establishment God only knows.

He's already taken advice from Blair - who told him to implement the parts of his policy which have the fastest results first, so that'll mean more migrants, even wider open borders and more globalisation. Just what the French need to keep the place French.

Sometimes , like in Sweden's case you can't help but wish to see these turkeys get the Christmas they deserve.

He didn't.

Has he told you that?

The French rejected the two mainstream parties so Macron was obviously an alternative in their eyes.

And no, he doesn't have to tell me personally. Blair never did. Come to think of it, he didn't tell anyone what he intended to do other than the snakes who plotted in secrecy at the time.

The French will get what they deserve which Macron has already pointed out. Terrorism they will just have to get used to, just as he said.

Do you realise there that you have contradicted your own post? He comes from "the establishment", as a banker and so on. Perhaps he can do the job. Maybe the French have realised from the US example that some competence is a help in such a job.

So you have no idea.I can't see how he would want to pursue mass immigration, unless he is stupid at Trump levels.

He said it was hard to stop, which it is. Le Pen wouldn't have had a clue what to do.
