Come on Woaksy

450 wickets for Broad. He's a pretty good test bowler, right? :D

Even Holden was up applauding.

'Incidentally, the noise when David Warner went off was every bit as loud and excitable and gleeful as you'd imagine. England should play every Test at Edgbaston'.

I'll second that. :D

Smith seems to have so much time to play the ball. Gets into an unorthodox position, but from it, he still seems to be able to chose the appropriate stroke. Notice he only does it against pace bowlers.

He's going to be such an influence this series, the bowling coaches need to focus on trying to find a way through.

A lot of poor stuff going on in this test and top of the list imo is the umpiring which has been atrocious, and Roots shite captaincy.

Wade comes in and we have Denly bowling dolly drops to the new batsman who says thanks very much for letting me get my eye in.

Moeen's limitations against the Aussies being ruthlessly exploited.

The good thing is he can only improve. Shocking spell this morning.

Great knock by Smith to make his second century of this test match.

In doing so he becomes only the fourth Aussie to score double centuries in an Ashes test.

I was trying to think of who the four would be.

I only got one :(

Steve Waugh.

You would have thought Bradman and Border might have been among them.

But the only one I have heard off, besides Waugh, was Matthew Hayden.

(Warren Bardsley and Arthur Morris are the other two BTW)
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

Got to hand it to Smith , he's a hell of a gutsy player .

I think we're gonna need a howitzer got get him out cheaply this series .

He's also a great captain , as i'm sure Tim Paine would testify . Can't help but think he's still pulling the strings in an unofficial capacity :-k
