Godzilla Minus One.
I loved it though I did think they copped out a bit on the ending.
Astonishing to think that it cost a twentieth of the average capeshit Marvel movie these days yet the special effects are twenty times better looking than the Marvel dark mush nauseating swirl.
A girl takes some magic mushrooms and is visited by her 39-year-old self who warns her of a mistake she's about to make.
You find out within the first couple of minutes that the girl in question is a lesbian and my first thought was "Oh FFS - another box-ticking exercise for no good reason" but in this case, it was integral to the plot of the movie.
Very good, I watched it with my 18-year-old son because we couldn't find anything else to watch, it sounded like an interesting premise and if I'm honest I quite fancy Aubrey Plaza so I thought that'll do. He enjoyed it too as did his older brother who watched it a couple of days ago.
Don't watch the trailer for it though, it's marketed as a "comedy" for some reason which it really isn't, so if you're expecting a good laugh you'll be disappointed and the trailer gives away far too much of the story.

Carry On Abroad. The last decent entry in the series.
Kenny Williams: "I'm your holiday rep, Stuart Farquhar."
Sid James: "Stupid what?!"
KW: "Stu-Art Farr-Kwarr!"
SJ: " No, you were right the first time."
If I could get lucky I'd secede from the states
I'd buy the country at an incredible rate

Avialable on Amazon Prime.
You offered your 18yr old son a chance to watch a film about a lesbian and THAT was the plot?
I'm umming and aahhing about going to see Gladiator 2. Mescal (to me) looks like a streaky peace of piss that would get caught shop lifting razor blades to fund a habit let alone hack the guts out of an opponent.

I guarantee he was disappointed.

Open your mind
Surely it's plain to see
I love a really bad film. Some are just bad and a waste of time, I'm talking about ones that are so terrible they cross over into genius. The greatest of them all has to be "Plan 9 from outer space" Widely regarded as the worst film ever made. The Director managed to convince Bella Lugosi to star in it but unfortunately he died very early into the shoot, undeterred by this they just decided to keep reusing some of his shots and for the rest they had a bloke wandering round holding his cape over his face. There are too many terrible things to mention, but they graveyard scenes with gravestones that wobble and astroturf that gets bunched up are particularly good. Here is the trailer and below that I'll post a link to the full movie which can be viewed for free and has been restored to HD quality.
