I would honestly have been upstairs with a nice bottle of Scotch and a sackful of pills a while ago. Fuck that for an ending.

Brave man.

Very saddened to hear of Rob Burrows' death from a truly horrific illness.
Rest easy, brave man, you went over the touchline and touched everyones hearts, including mine.

I've just watched Rob's last message and I can honestly say it made me cry as today, after all this time and saving up, I finally went to see in person, (got an email photo on Friday from the undertakers) the memorial for himself I ordered 14 months ago.
It's really beautiful but it also made me sad as I stood and remembered all the many good years and the really really bad last 2 months of our life together.

I hope Rob's family gather strength and comfort from the knowledge that his last message was so full of hope and thoughts for others and no pity for himself.

Eternal rest grant him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him, may he Rest In Peace.

I'm genuinely sorry to read this, Birdie. God knows how Rob found the strength to carry on at times.

Glad for you that your memorial is sorted, birdie.
