I enjoyed the first couple of series but they should have left it there. Only fools went on too long also.

The humour doesn't resonate with me... idk. I didn't enjoy many comedy series from that era, tbh. The Inbetweeners was another one. Hugely popular at the time, but I couldn't get into it.
