Blackadder
Is this the best ending to a comedy/drama ever.
It's nearly 35 years old, still cry every time I see it.

The first series was God-awful. Hats off to whoever commissioned a second 
For me, Brian, the highlight of S2 was Queen Elizabeth, S3 was shared between the Prince of Wales and Mrs Miggins.
S4 I never got on with, to be honest. As a boy I got the chance to chat with elderly gents who had served in the trenches, and they never gave me the impression that they thought of themselves as mugs.

That ending was a cock up they ruined the one take they had and it was all down to skilful editing which gave us something better than what we would have got if it had been filmed properly
