Well done Sub 😁

Currently sunning myself in Lanzarote with family so didn’t see the games but unfortunately my luck ran out.

I’ll be cheering Sub in the final so I can say I lost to the eventual winner but good luck all.

Interesting game in KC. Giants 17 v 17 Chiefs with 4m to go in the fourth. Sadly my old Samsung CRT TV (which will never die, circa early 2000s) and freeview having atmospheric problems throughout, though listening to other shit anyway so not a big problem. Got a better telly, but will keep as prime till it passes on and people impressed by the picture quality. Built to last in them old days.

Err, anyway. Mon NY and tables up shortly after.

KC field goal with just over a minute keft. March upfield Giants and fucking Hail Mary.

NY 4th and 15 on their own 20 and game over. :(

NtFL Super Bowl XIX

Image

NtFL Super Bowl XIX scores on the doors:

Panthers by 6.
49ers by 11.
Steelers by 5.
Titans by 3.
Seahawks by 24.
Patriots by 3.
Saints by 9.
Broncos by 7.
Cowboys by 4.
Chiefs by 3.

Some notes. Subsub Slobberknockers and Holden - Offence - 10 Yard Penalty - Still First Down differed on one prediction, the late Sunday night game, Cowboys @ Vikings. Going into that, Subsub Slobberknockers was 1pt ahead.

Carcinogen's 0pts for a correct prediction on the 49ers does not go on the Honours and Records Board as it was just for fun and as the rules:
Only 1 point winning predictions will be considered for the record as 0 points is easy.
Three spot ons this week. Shedboy on the Panthers, Salem on the Titans and Shedboy on the Broncos. 8)

NtFL Super Bowl XIX tables, please always check:

Congratulations to Shedboy for winning the just for fun cup. :)

The NtFL XIX Super Bowl champions are the Subsub Slobberknockers.

Commiserations to Holden - Offence - 10 Yard Penalty - Still First Down. :(

Subsub Slobberknockers. Here is your NtfL XIX Championship ring. Your record fifth. Wear it with pride: 8)

Honours board updated. An interesting note, this was the lowest NtFL Super Bowl winning score, the second lowest NtFL Super Bowl losing score and the lowest aggregate NtFL Super Bowl score. All previous records were in NtFL Super Bowl XIV.

And after all that fun, NtFL XX starts in two weeks as we are having a mid-season break due to the 17 game season and 18 week season. All welcome back and new players welcome. Thanks all. :drinkers:

What was said last year?
Carlos J wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 12:13 pm Three players now have four Championship rings. They are Dells Bells, Shabskatchewan Bigfoots and Subsub Slobberknockers.

One may soon win five and a top Silver Championship ring awaits them.
Subsub Slobberknockers. You are awarded the new NtFL Silver Super Bowl Championship ring. A rarity, so wear it with extra pride: 8)

Speaking of rings. One hopes to get another to the collection soon:

And speaking of rings, oh yay. Dear old lash: 8) Not the original as on the archive, but a reprise: https://talkforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p ... 9#p1198119 You can find the original on the archive. But still absolutely glorious and more smilies removed as only 10 allowed:

(Carlos will reply any second with the gazillion titles that Green Bay have won )

Ha, Missed the bit underneath, sub. I did actually order a set of Packers rings off of ebay recently. Lovely lady actually replied saying they wouldn't be here for Christmas. Nay problem I said. They're for myself anyway. Why, Mike, why though? :smt102 Then I remembered it wasn't being aled up on ebay, I was recalling dear old Lash. 8) It's for the ladies. :fell:

And sorry old friend, Lash, we go back to some NFL thread gold. Some smiles have been removed due to the max limit of ten. #sadface:
RM's quote has the link to Super Bowl XLIX thread but go back to page 49 for the start of Super Bowl Sunday: https://talkforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f ... 2&start=90

He went AWOL for about 4 days after that game.
Is the Superbowl thread still about or will it have been archived by now?
That was pure comedy gold.
Anyhow I'm in for the predictor game.
Team name The Shab-skatchewan Bigfoots
I follow the Philadelphia Eagles. Randall Cunningham and Reggie White were two of my favourite players when i started watching American football. Been a fan of the game for well over 25+ years.

Only civil thing i'm going to say to you all night :D

Get yourself one of these http://europe.nflshop.com/stores/nfl/pr ... pid=160285

I bought one the time my team got to the Superbowl and it's a great memento. You can show the grand kids how much of a glory hunter you were.
Way ahead of you Shabs :) ta for the heads up but I've already been thinking about momentos should we win historic back to back World Championships, and I've decided I'm going to fork out on a replica Superbowl winners ring, it should be a real conversation starter when my pals or some nice piece of skirt cast their peepers on it 8)
