Oh come on, it’s going to tak
e a monumental effort to be a funnier shitshow than Boris and Liz. How can anyone compete with firstly all the bullshit lies and then the sheer stupidity.

You'll find out in the first week of Starmer, Rayner, Lammy and Reeves, already sounds like a music hall turn.
You were dozy enough to be taken in by Boris so comedy is right up your street.🤡
I've always said Boris is a twerp, never could understand why the parliamentary party chose him.
And less of the dozy, dozy.

Tory voters: bring back de pfeffel. He's the only one who can save us all.

Also tory voters: we always knew de pfeffel was a wrong 'un.

Bore off, Ant. Your posts have become uninspiring and rather infantile. "Tory girl", "reform girl", whatever-whatever. Sad.
You've told me more than once to "take my beret off" because I've dared to criticise the Government at times.
I guess the term 'infantile' is subjective...
Subs wades in.

'More than once,' you mean a couple of times at most. Besides, in those cases, if my memory serves me right, your posts were rather smug, which perhaps justifies my beret comment. I don't seem to recall calling you 'Labour boy' or 'Guardian boy' or anything similar.

Do I need your permission before I post on an internet forum? Sorry, I didn't get the memo. Whenever you post or reply to someone, is that also "wading in", or is it merely expressing an opinion?
lambrini wrote: 'More than once,' you mean a couple of times at most
Yes, more than once, which is what I said.
lambrini wrote: if my memory serves me right, your posts were rather smug, which perhaps justifies my beret comment
I thought the beret comment was a reference to France/being anti-UK, rather than being smug, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
lambrini wrote: I don't seem to recall calling you 'Labour boy' or 'Guardian boy' or anything similar
No idea what that has to do with anything. But my point was that you seem very happy to have a pop at others (ant, Tick and more) if you disagree with them, but when forumers have a pop at you, you seem to take offence.

What's even more worrying is the plank Lammy as Foreign Minister .

God help us 🙏
 I have to agree Lammy is as dumb as a plank.

Deputy PM though is mainly a symbolic position so doesn't matter who it is.
Who's the current deputy PM ? Exactly, Dowden and I had to look that up.

Well…. it didn’t take long for this thread to descend into squabbling, did it?

Finally we get the chance to decide who runs this Nation. So unless you’ve had your head up your arse these past few years, there is absolutely no reason to say anything other than the desire to get the current Government gone. That may mean Labour get a chance to run things*, so be it. We won’t know if they’ll be as bad (really not possible), until they get the chance. Anything else is just wishful thinking on the posters behalf.

Unless, that is, people like being shat on by our current Government and will happily let them continue doing so.

I , as you all probably know , am a Conservative . Unfortunately i have had the Conservative option quietly stolen away from me , the last straw being
Graham Brady not stopping until he finally got his man Sunak into Number 10 .

There's no point in voting Reform . Although i agree with most of their policies i can't be arsed to traipse down to the polling station just to send a message .

So , it looks like i'll be rewarded with 5-10 years of dry-bumming by a dummy swaddled in rainbow keffiyehs either way .

Good luck one and all , we're gonna need it

Listened to Sunak on Radio 4, he's going to struggle. He's bad at politics and Starmer is going to out perform him.

I don’t deny that we need change. Over the past fourteen years, the Tories have squandered one opportunity after another. Given Labour's dreadful track record, I'm sceptical that they can repair the country unless they adopt some form of liberal conservatism and ultimately shift towards the right of centre.

One significant problem in politics today is self-interest: "What can politics do for me and my career?" The majority of MPs don’t genuinely care about the people's needs or the state of the country at large. Unfortunately, this culture is pervasive now, especially in the workplace. Loyalty and self-sacrifice are no longer valued traits. As a contrarian, perhaps I'm being too pessimistic about the future. Who knows? Labour may repair it all and the nation will be thriving and content by 2034. Maybe it's just me...

Fortunately, this sub-forum doesn't represent most people in this country. We haven't yet turned into the USA, where anyone who votes for the other lot is evil and wicked and stupid, by definition.
